Lisa, good question and many people probably think the same thoughts. Of course, we learn as we go through life so part of our "lessons" include setting intentions, changing intentions, and so on. And sometimes we do long for the "wrong" thing. The more your vision becomes clear and your goal aligned with your purpose or conscious intent, you will see things shift and become more congruent. For example, there have been things I "thought" I wanted that I thank God I did not receive! (We all can say this, I'm sure.) But wisdom is in knowing at some point the difference between those things and what really matters or creates love. So as we live we grow and this becomes clearer. Does the thing we desire contribute to our good and the good of the world? This might be a helpful question, too. Thanks for your comment!

This is great advice. However, sometimes we hold an intention and work toward a goal for years only to eventually get what we were seeking but have it turn out to be a disaster. How should we interpret this? Does it mean: 1) we were seeking the wrong thing for us? 2) we made some mistake along the way? 3) the "disaster" is simply a "test" and we should keep trying? Or is there really any way to know?

Thanks for your assistance!
